ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

1well dont quote me on this but seeing how you have the a1 i think there is a black box you have to hook up to open the secondary on a f22a6 mani or h23 mani seeing how u have the f22a1 witch does not hav a black box (no secondary)
2as for the cam gear you would have to losen the tensioner to get the cam gear off but losen the bolt befor takeing the belt off
3for spark plugs you can go to ur local auto parts store and get whats best just aske for the best ones they have the good ones run around 9.99 each or go with the cheaper ones for 2.99
4get a good set of spark plug wires why your at it about 29.99
might as well get the good stuff cheap stuff dont last longLast edited by blazedealh91; 07-22-2010, 09:36 PM.

Ok for spark plugs get NGK plugs best for our cars and also get NGK spark plug cables also good for our cars, don't get any of that Bosh iridium crap. For the manifold yes you can use the one out of an A6 engine or H23 if you go to the junk yard when you take it of there is Little black box that's under the manifold take that. It's conected by some vaccum hoses and an electrical plug. Also make sure you take the ECU from that car you will need it for the cam and for the butterflys to work and I'm told it has a more agresive fuel map but not 100% sure on that one.

The air conditioning (I'm assuming that is what you meant) hardly uses any power unless you have the compressor engaged, even then it only uses about as much power as your basic I/H/E will give you. An aftermarket cam gear is useless unless you have extreme modifications which would make it beneficial for you to change the cam timing.Originally posted by blazedealh91 View Postalso take of the acc system if you dont use it give back a little powert haha

The cam doesn't have secondaries, the black box is for the secondary butterflies in certain intake manifolds. Also, for the most part I'm having a hard time understanding what you're saying, could you please work on your spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Originally posted by blazedealh91 View Postwell dont quote me on this but seeing how you have the a1 i think there is a black box you have to hook up to open the secondary

You don't need to spend that much on spark plugs, just get stock NGK plugs, they should only run you about $11. I was running copper core bosch plugs before, they cost like twice as much but didn't perform any better. I've tested them both out at the drag strip.
True. I have two sets of tires and with one set I ran about 0.5 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile. Basic bolt ons took 0.5 seconds off my time. The right tires can make just as much difference.Originally posted by eight View Post"bolt on" some nice tires.
Seriously though, I think people forget how dramatically good tires change everything.

to rcpaul-You know exatcly what he means when he mentions secondaries, so dont jump to the fact that the Cam has no secondaries...thats called a SMART ASS....and if you care so much about his spelling worried about yours! welcome to the world of the internet plp sometimes dont know how to type or type fast like others....and no the The Camshaft has no secondaries! i know that....
and to the OP....
brother if you wanna go towards N/A...then look around here in the site....theres plenty of people that have good setups but not powerful....remember a fully rebuilt engine is a healthy engine with basic bolt ons your not getting far....if your the type of person that like the F22 and would not swap out to a H22, h23, or any other non F22ax motor then thats good in my book!
theres a thread here on how to get about 30+ with under 500 dollars look it up....our boss Deevergote got it up a while back....hes a G!!!..lol
but hey the F22a6 camshaft goes right on the head you just need to do proper valve adjustment.....and yes loosen the timing belt to get the belt of the cam gear. But i didnt do that my belt was new and not even worn so i sliped it off and got it back on the gear without messing up timing or the belt....how long story aint going to recomend it at all!
the F22A6 camshaft cannot operate without the A6 ECU/ECM named Pt6, the car will run with the cam with the F22A1 ECU Pt3 whitch is also the A4s ECU....
the f22A6 intake manifold like you already know has Secondaries in order to open these you need the black box from the A6 and hook it up to the manifold IABs, the Pt6(A6 ECU) can operate these as well....
the f22A6 parts can get you up to 140 HP
with the F22A4 or any other cheap 4-2-1 design header can easily get you less than 5 hp...
go to a muffler shop that can get you 2.25-2.5 piping or just get a CAT-BACK.....those EBAY N1 CATback seem to work just fine.....
thats like 150 hp no including the Intake you already have....and when i say 150hp....i dont mean WHP...remember when i said rebuilt engine....our cars are 20 years old think about the motor they're way older...
I'm just saying whats simple and good, but if you wanna go fully built N/A....look into Bisimoto camshaft specs...even the header is awsome...the intake manifold gasket promise HP too.....and if you have a F22A1 look for the H23 IM swap......and some good tires..Msd ignition, try fuel upgrades...theres alot bro just gonna have to do some labor and look around....
if you wanna go N20 then its a nobrainer, wanna go turbo......then PM me....Last edited by turboAccordHSF; 07-22-2010, 11:47 PM.
