ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Clutch Pressure Problem

So the car sat for 2 weeks without being driven. I go to move it and I have no clutch pressure until about 1 inch off the floor. I check the clutch resouvier and its dry.

I did have a small leak from the master cylinder so I replaced that and the slave cylinder. It seems like I cannot get the air bled from the clutch lines, and when I think I do I check the pedal pressure and its the same way, just 1inch off the floor.

I have not seen any leaks in the lines, and I'm not sure where to go from here. Ideas, comments, suggestion?

1 Week until the Greesnboro, NC Summer Meet, trying to make this with my "nice" accord rather than my daily beater.

if you replaced the clutch master what you will need to do is readjust the clutch pedal. there is a bolt on the back of it where it connected to the pedal. Once that is done it should make bleeding the clutch easier. depending on how much air got in the system you may or may not go through a small can of brake fluid

That may be my problem. I've been unable to get pressure for a long time, and I've bled about 2 cans of fluid through the system!

If you're not getting bubbles of air when you bleed the clutch, then suspect the clutch pedal adjustment.

I think it's more likely though that you've got a bad bleeder valve on your slave cylinder that's letting in air, a bad hydraulic connection (not airtight)--they are old and could have rust or whatever-- or a faulty replacement.. I'd buy a replacement bleeder valve if you suspect that's the issue.

Before that---If you didn't bench bleed the clutch master cylinder, try propping the car up so that the clutch master cylinder is level and then rebleed. If you get a four or five foot length of hose you can run the end of it right back into the clutch master cylindner reservoir so you don't waste any more fluid.
