ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

First of all, a vehicle idling isn't a problem. The fact that it's idling is a good sign.Originally posted by cb7_530 View Posti have a problem with my 91 accord ex. As soon as i turn it on it starts idling. so it wont pass smog and idk how to fix it. can anyone help plz?
What part of smog won't it pass? We need to know what part you're failing prior to suggesting possible problems.

2001 Honda CR-V SE RT4WD
2005 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71

ok thats easy but will give you a check engin light ok there is alittle clip on the back side of you intake just barely past the throttle body it should be like the Aif flo sensor un-plug that see what that does and if it still idles too high turn down the idle screw it is on the throttle body it is a flat head screw. very hard to miss.

ok look there a air valve th one on the right side in bront of your intake manfold it has two srews on top loose one take the other one out and move the vap to the side so it wont be o the way, inside you'll see like a yellow cap and a brown lil thinng push that thing downward and see if the idle stops raising and push it harder and see if the car starts to bog, the spring inside can sometime break and the air valve need to be replaced but most of the time it just need to be screwed back on cuz it come loose....
p.s some one correct me i forgot the air valves name
edit:i mean screw it down dont push it down it'll ust rev the engne by letting air in...Last edited by turboAccordHSF; 08-10-2010, 03:54 AM.

and to the OP, if this does not work try looking for a leaking gasket by the trhottle body, and theres a idle adjusting screw on top of the throttle body aswell it can come so loose it creates a major air leak

and another ?? when was the last time the fuel filter, spark plugs were changed. I work for BG oil products as a distrubuter so if you have NO idea when the fuel filter was changed Run a can of 44k thru your system its better then anything else you will ever put in. it is better then seafoam and not harmfull to rubber. You can get it from like a car quest or something like that. It cleans everything just like running shell vpower for 5 years but it will do it in about one tank lol. But dont always its going to be exspensive sometimes its just cheep stuff. that will have the biggest impact>
