ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Does anyone know?

i have a 92 accord ex sedan. i am trying to change my breaks but i just found out that my car has 2 types of callipers and 2 sizes of rotors. does anyone knows how can i find out what? type of callipers does my car has and what size of rotors?

Try making a thread title that actually states your problem, and you'll get more help. In fact, threads with titles like this will soon be deleted as they are found.

The caliper will say what brand it is. Nissin says Nissin. Akebono shows a triangular design. The rotor size is for sedan/coupe and wagon. Unless you get the bracket for the wagon brakes, which are larger, you can't use those rotors.

Also you're in for a surprise, if you don't know already, our cars come with the hub over rotor design. They have to be pressed off and on. Major pain in the ass. I've been told you should replace the wheel bearings at the same time. If you're going that far I would recommend doing the ROH swap if you plan on keeping the car for awhile.

no, you do not need to replace the wheel bearings when you do the brakes and also the bearings are pressed in, not the rotors. later.

The bearings are just a good thing to replace, because you're already halfway there when you remove the knuckles to do the rotors (unless you find a way to do them on the car... it CAN be done, but it's more difficult.)

i can't really agree with that because the bearings are sealed and are supposed to last the life of the car, though they don't always due to certain factors.

it does make sense though to do it when it's all apart, it just also might be a waste of money. later.

They can crack. However, I've had Brembo blanks that were drilled and slotted by an aftermarket company since 2004, and never had any issues.

Unless you're doing some serious track driving, or repeated braking from high speeds, there's no need for anything but stock rotors.
