ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Brake Light Problem

Hi guys, I am having a brake light issue.

I have a '90 DX with a 92/93 trunk swap. Everything with the trunk swap is connected and done right with no issues, and I actually had this issue even before the trunk swap.

Now, here's my issue. I can turn on my lights, and all my rear lights work fine, including my turn signals and my reverse lights, however, when I press the brakes, NOTHING! Not even from my third brake light! No brake lights at all!

What should I look into next? All input is appreciated. I just need answers!!!

    TIA

:EDIT: Also forgot to mention, my red BRAKE LAMP light is on on the dash as well.

might want to check your fuse under thehood if not check your bulbs if those r in working order might have to replace your brake switch

Try swapping out the little regulator boxes on the taillights. Just hit up the JY and go head and replace both of them. The brake switch is also a easy fix, again hit up the JY and snatch one.

I have a parts car in my backyard. Where exactly are the regulator boxes?

I agree to pursue the two components already mentioned. In addition, check to see if wiring is proper.

I had a similar issue with my 91 DX in that the previous owner installed an OEM spoiler on the car. They wired it up and all brake lights worked at all times, however the dash brake lamp was on from the time you first used brakes until vehicle power was turned off.

Problem solved. I took out the brake switch first, and learned that wasn't the problem. I then moved to look at the brake light boxes, and as it turns out, when I did my trunk swap I forgot to take these boxes off the 90/91 tail lights and put them on my 92/93 tail lights. DUHHH! So I went to my other car and nabbed them and the problem was fixed.

                Thanks a lot guys.
