ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    H22 bogging under load

heys guys, got a problem with my JDM h22 swap....so i just got finished putting it in. everything is connected right. it starts fine idles around 750-900 RPM but when i took it for a test drive it boggs and hesitates when i give it more then about 40% throttle or load......so i advanced my dizzy and it made it run good where i could give it WOT for the most part but still feel like it doesn't have the power there. i checked my Ignition timing today and it was good where it was before i moved it. i checked my TPS and it is working prefect. im using MAP in black box and h22 egr. i had to advance my timing just so i can drive it around. what could this be? im running a stock p28 btw. anything would be greatly appreciated. i already have some ideas to try in the next few days.

Your problem is the stock P28, it is meant for a civic and needs to be chipped with at least a H22 base map for your car to run correctly because as of right now you are starving your engine of the fuel it needs.

ok thats sounds understandable... just to pick ur brain...can u think of anything else that it could be? when i got the engine, it had different injectors so i took them back to the guy and he gave me other injectors but dont know if there the correct ones. how could i tell?.?.. is there a number on them that i could reference or something? also my friend blocked off the intake with his hand and it still idled but died as soon as i gave it gas? sounds like a vacuum leak right?

It could be a bad oxygen sensor... but honestly, why the hell would you run a stock Civic ECU for an H22? Especially with advanced timing! Chances are, your engine is damaged, and that's why it does not run properly.

the same thing happen to me and it got me real fustreaded so i understand what your feeling my problem was the injectors and my o2 senser so i put the stock h22a injectors in and deleted my butterflys and my o2 senser was not ebven pluged in then i reset my timing on my dizzy and i was good money no problems but now i have chattering in my engine

umm the p28 is just for the moment to get me to work and back until next paycheck and i can chip and tune it. but the engine runs pretty good when i have the timing advanced. i just dont wanna keep it like that cuz i know its not right.

You'd be better off using your stock Accord ECU. The P28 and advanced timing are very likely doing serious damage to your engine.

i thought the stock accord ECU (p03) wont run the h22 due to it being a single cam non vtec ecu

So you think the ECU for a 1.6L engine would be better? Aside from the smaller displacement, the D16 only has 240cc injectors, whereas your H22 has 345cc. You're severely limiting the amount of fuel, which means you're most likely running lean. To deter detonation with a lean condition, it is wise to retard the spark, but you advanced it... I will seriously be shocked if you didn't already do serious damage, especially if you were careless enough to rev it to VTEC range.

The PT3 or PT6 will run the H22 much more safely. The P13 would be your best option. If you're not heavily modified, the P28 won't do anything worthwhile, and no tune is going to be better than the stock tune.

Listen to the man, stop driving the car. Get a P13 and call it a day. If you still have your pt3 sitting around, use that.

Yeah man, but the O2 sensor is brand new and is a Denso. However due to my JDM H22 downpipe not fitting my cat correctly and only one bolt is holding it currently until I take it to the exhaust shop. Can this in somehow throw off the O2 sensor? yeah its a pretty big exhaust leak..lol Sorry for the thread jacking.
