Hey so i was filling up gas and i went to check my coolant overflow resivor and it was really low. i walked in to the gas station and bought 50/50 antifreeze and put it in. i drove home and it seemed as i had a coolant leak. i noticed that my coolant is slowly going down. once it goes down it seems to stay at the same low level that it was when i first caught it. Can anyone tell me whats going on. i checked the color of my engine oil and coolant and it was normal btw so i dont think its time for a new head gasket.

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

you cannot go off the overflow tank. You may have a crack or hole in it.
When your car heats up the anti-freeze expands, bubbles, etc...and goes into the tank...as the car cools etc etc...it sucks it back out. So if you have a crack in that tank it can lower your anti-freeze levels.
Check it for cracks, check your hoses for leaks, check the rad for leaks. Then, fill the rad all the way up, squeezing your hoses to get out air. Then fill the res. tank. Close the rad and continue to squeeze the hoses...you should get some bubbles go into the res. tank, then when you release the hose it'll suck in anti-freeze.
Run the car with the heater on (make sure the knob is turned to hot so you get bubbles outta the heater coil)
TAKE CAUTION HERE...hot engine and anti-freeze:
Then on the firewall side of the head on your left (when facing the car) there is a bleeder screw on the water outlet, unscrew it, this it the highest point in the cooling system. Squeeze the hoses until you get only water out.
But...all of that will be in vain if you have a cracked res. tank, rad, or hoses...so again...check those first.__
