ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    H23A1 swap help

I just picked up a h23a1 and i cant really find any soild swap threads for it. Ive read on here that you dont need to use the h23 dizzy and you can use the one from the f22a1 if you drill a hole or something?
also, will my wireing harness clip into this motor? i know i have to wire up a knock sensor but if i use my stock computer should the knock sensor be a problem? which leads to my next question, can i use my stock computer or do i need a p14 out of a prelude? i would get a p06 and chip and tune it, but there is no one around my area that would do this stuff.

here is a picture of the motor if it helps at all. maybe someone could tell me what im missing? ( I have the tb. )

the h23 is a straight swap.
adding knock sensor and swapping the neck from upper radiaor hose to the head is required if you wanna utilize both your fan(temp) sensors.

it is best to use a h22/h23 distributor, the f22 has different mounting.

you can not use your stock ecu without doing damage.
I sell p06's if you need one, but at least grab a p14.

    hope that helps.

yeah, thank you, that helps out a lot.
so, you cant just use a p06 tho right? and by this i mean you have to get them chipped before you can use it to run the h23, right?

      thanks for your help

correct on the p06, and the chip is only a basemap which you can get a basemap for the p14.
tuning only comes into play when you do more than the basics, but is always a good idea if you got the money.

at least if you go the p06 route now, you are setting yourself up for future mods/tuning.

alright, sorry if im sounding stupid but i know my way around motors, but im not that great with ecu's and stuff yet.
i plan on doing some porting and polishing to my head/TB/and intake manifold, im going to get the head and block decked so everything is straight and a header, i got a full 2.25 exhaust, with a SRI.
so where would i get a chip to put in the p06, and could i chip it myself?

          thanks again.

the p06 needs to have things soldered to it. it is not plug n play.
on top of that with mods to your engine a basemap might not be good enough.
at that point tuning needs to take place to get the full potential out of
              your engine.

as far as chipping your own ecu, depends on your tools and knowledge of circuit boards, if your asking what I speak of then no, you do not have the
              knowledge to chip it yourself.

              good luck.
