ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What are differences between F20 and F22?

Hello all. Getting ready to buy a 94 Accord. Have a few questions so I can gather parts and build it up. It has a F20A SOHC with a 5 speed. I have been scoping out the DSM turbo set-up. My question is will it bolt up to the F20 head like it does to the F22? Thanks for the help.

Edit: Forgot to mention this is a UK spec Accord.

well the main difference is that the F20 is a 2.0 liter engine while our F22 is a 2.2 liter engine.

I just don't know if your engine is carburated or fuel injected.

The 94 is going to be the 5th generation, so it doesn't really apply here (cd5tuner.com would likely have more answers for you.)

Anyway, check out the exhaust port layout. If it's 0-0-0-0 then the DSM manifold will work. If it's 0-00-0, then it will not. 5th gens in the US have the second style... but they also only have the F22B1 and F22B2 engines to choose from. I'm guessing your F20 is the F20B, which is essentially a 2.0L version of the F22B1.

The UK accord is based off the CB chassis according to Wiki, that's why I registered here. Here is the link.

It's under the Ascot Innova CB3/4 section and the exact picture on the right.

The engine in the car is fuel injected.

The CB and CD chassis (4th and 5th gen) are fairly closely related. However, your engine is more likely to be very similar to what you'd find in a 5th gen Accord.

I had forgotten about that weirdo ascot/innova mid-model thing they did. Beautiful cars, though. I wish we got them in the US!

I missed where you said F20A.

If it is indeed F20A, then yes... the head is identical to the F22A head, and the DSM manifold will fit. If it is an F20B, it will not.

You're somewhere in between... you have a weird car.
                    Either way, you're welcome here!

But yes, if it's the F20A, then it's closer to the engines found in the cars on this site, so yeah... this is the best place. Check that exhaust port layout, and you'll know for sure.
