ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

how does the tires look on the front ? if it shakes the steering wheel its the front tires and if it shakes your butt its the back tires. my guess is the front tires are bad or un balanced.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

i cant really tell if the rear is shaking.
if i switch the front tires, should it stop shaking?
cause it's snowing here, and i don't wanna have to switch all four XD

Tire balance will cause shaking. A bad alignment will cause shaking.
Directional tires going the wrong way could potentially cause shaking.
Bent wheels could do it as well... or wheels that haven't been installed properly.

Are you running hub-centric rings? Are you SURE the wheels are on there tight?

Also, what you are referring to is a change of both wheels and tires, correct? Not just tires? That makes a difference. Did you get these wheels with the tires already mounted?

            no hub rings
and the wheels are on SUPER tight. i put them on once and had to take em off, i had to pretty much stand on the Tire iron..

the rims might actually be bent..

Bent rims will definitely do it.

No hub rings can cause some serious problems if the wheels aren't perfectly centered. That's why they exist. I've seen cars with all 4 (or 5, one was a Lexus) wheel studs sheared clean off.

I would take the wheels to get rebalanced. Balance is the most likely issue.

is it dangerous for the car to drive to the nearest car care center?
or should i just change back to the OEM wheels?

I wouldn't say it'd be dangerous to drive it to the car care center... as long as you don't drive hard. I'd keep to non-highway roads to be safe.
I've driven with no hub rings before, on imbalanced wheels... but it's not something I'd suggest anyone else do. It's not safe, and if something fails, that rubber is all you have between you and the road.

a vibration can be caused by many diffrent problems. here is a list of them bad wheel bearing, inner tie rod, outer tie rod, bald tires, bent wheels, uncentered wheels(lack of centering rings), wrong bolt pattern, seperated tire, alinment, bad ball joints and out of balance wheels. i would do what deevergote said and take it to a tire shop and get the wheels balanced and this should solve the problem if the tires are in good shape and there are no bent wheels. also you should have them check the bolt patteren to see if its 4x114.3 because other patterns are close enough to bolt on but are wrong and can cause a vibration. one other thing is a bad motor mount/tranny mount can cause a vibration along with an unbalance cv axel, these last two i have only see a few times so they should be at the bottom of the list of proable causes.
