ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

and just b/c you have a projector doesn't mean that if you put hid's in it that it will not glare people because there are halogen projectors and xenon projectors

the bulbs that go in halogen projectors(integras for one) the length is different than the xenon bulbs so the focal point of the light is not correct thus causing glare even from a projector

Do you see projectors on that? I don't think so
if you want hids in a cb7/9 then putting in projectors is the only way i would recommend going about it

anything else and you are just being an ass blinding everyone on the road other than yourself (until you pull up behind me and i use my rear view mirror to direct the light back in your face)

Personally i don't see the use in HID low beams

If i want bright lights ill put my high beams on

Thats why im putting HID's in my brights

That way i can blend in and look like a stock car at night but get bright ass light when i need it. I don't flash my brights anyways.

Point of the matter is you don't need a projector for HIDs as proven above

i don't believe anyone ever said you need projectors, just mentioned that they are more suitable and disperse a wider more even beam pattern

these are mine that i am just now finishing up they look fairly oem don't they

and this is much better than the halogen that comes with the car

But what do you need brighter low beams for? I never really understood that.

When you are speeding through a dark road in the forest you need them lol

There have been a few times before when i have felt like i am out driving my headlights ( i can't think of the term for it )

I like maximum visbility but at the same time i want to blend in at night to avoid unwanted attention.

only bad thing about aftermarket HID is ricers use the very high temperature and it looks like complete ass. if your gonna run higher than 6000k your defeating the purposes of getting brighter lights

i don't believe a proper retrofit would attract much attention really.

people would think it is just a newer luxury car if they even paid any attention at all

hell almost every new car comes with projection halogen or xenon nowadays

the cars that use reflectors seem to have a lot of glare and not as wide of a beam pattern, so that to me makes them more inferior

this is coming from someone who delivers pizzas 40 hours a week from late afternoon to night time

if you had quality bi-xenons then the light would emit further allowing you to not out run your lights

                              Indeed.
Even the "Not Rice. Looks OEM." ones have terrible output. It's tolerable, but no where near as good as proper projectors.
