ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

intake manifold spacer 2 or 1 w/butterfly delete?

I have an f22a w/k&n filter, short ram intake, h23 intake manifold, with 2 butterfly spacers,w/butterfly delete, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, msd blaster 2 coil, DC header, 2 1/4 exhaust, catylatic converter delete, and muffler. With A/C delete. My question is should I just use one of those spacers or use two, witch way would give me more air flow??? Please any advice would help me thanx in advance.

I think using 2 spacers will give you around 5whp but you will lose a little bit of torque.

The best for all around power is the 2 double stacked spacers with the IABs on the bottom and a gutted one on top. That'll retain the low-end torque and when they open up, gives you more plenum or runner volume for high end power.

But make sure when you delete the IABs in the gutted spacer that you also take out the rod and fill the holes with JB weld and sand them smooth for the best results.

Shorter the runners the further up the peak torque goes up the rev band

Longer the runners the further down the peak torque goes on the rev band.

Has anyone done no spacers and no butterfly spacer, just straight upper plenum connected to runners? Can that be done would like to know

You would need shorter bolts of course but I don't see why it couldn't be done. I've never tried it though. Go for it.

It won't be 5whp with an F22A and gutted stock IAB plates. 2-3 maybe.

And just for added info... that MSD coil does nothing. That DC header offers little gain over a cheap $50 "ebay" header... you just paid for the name, CARB number, and slightly better build quality, and removing the cat offers very little gain... all that does is give the government more reason to crack down on tuners, making it harder to pursue our hobby.

It would move the powerband up in the RPM range, and probably cost a few hp.
