ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You usually can't see broken solder joints in the main relay anyway... not without magnification.

Just replace it. It's under your dash, to the left of the steering column, behind the cruise control brain box. It will be a small, rectangular box... brown and gray plastic, wiht one plug coming out of it. It can be a bitch to get to. Mine is currently dangling, because I didn't feel like putting it back where it belongs.
Search on Google for a picture that matches my description if you need a visual.

The main relay controls the fuel pump, and is a common thing to fail. However, it usually fails in hot weather, not the middle of February. Still, it's possible.
Other no-start possibilities are your ignitor, ignition coil, or battery/ground connections.

          Thats not true at all

I have repaired many things in my cars before that had failed solder joints, they are very easy to spot

The main rely ( once removed from the car ) takes a total of 20 seconds with a screw driver to take apart and check the solder joints. If the solder joints aren't even broken that will save you a trip to the junkyard to get a part that won't even fix your problem.

Yes, you CAN see them when they're that bad... but a bad solder point could also be invisible without magnification. Very often, the points in the main relay are that way.

yes it is simple just unbolt (or if your lucky you can slide it off its bracket) out from under the dash and unplug it, then pull the gray outer shell off of the brown/orange and check for bad solider joints here is a very good video on it

Eric the car guy said they can fail in extreme cold as well. I did not know that. Makes sense though.

I have repaired multiple things that failed to work and every time i took them apart they were as broken as that. If they aren't that broken then they're still making contact

As a good measure you can resolder over them anyways, it dosen't hurt anything

                  I fixed:

The main rely in my old accord

The climate control in my integra ( every single mode button was cracked like above )

The power door lock control unit in the driver door
