ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Power Door Locks Problem

Ok I Really Need Help..the Other Day My Locks Wouldn't Lock But They Would Unlock..then They Went Completely Out So I Checked My Fuses & Nothing Was Blown..so I Got In My Car & Drove For A Few Minutes Then Tried Locking & Unlocking My Doors From The Switch & The Locks Worked..when I Got Home To Get Out I Tried Unlocking The Doors & The Locks Didn't Work..i'm Starting To Feel Like My Cars Possessed..what The Hell Is Going On..i Know The Actuator Still Works Because It Works But Stops So It Has To Be Something Electrical...can Somebody Give Me A Clue.

I Read Online That I Should Check The Soldering Point But What Would The Actuator If I'm Using The Main Lock Switch On Both Passenger & Driver Side & None Of The Doors Are Locking As If None Of The Doors Are Getting Power.

Take your drivers side door panel off and remove the box that's in the door. This is the power lock control unit, either re-flow the solder points on the board or get a unit out of a CB from the junkyard.

Its a common problem, same thing happened to me, I re-soldered mine and haven't had a problem since.

I had the same problem but it wasn't in my 92 , it was in my 94. The problem i had was the locking unit itself. in the 1994 if you unlock the car from the passenger side it unlocks all doors, in the 1992 it is the driver side that controls the doors. I switched the one in the 94 passenger side and it all worked like new. i think i only paid $15 from the junkyard. So if you pick up the driver side for your cb might work. maybe give that a try? good luck

I had the same problem. Sometimes my passenger lock would work and sometimes it wouldn't. Could be the Actuator Motor themselves. Check if you get power to the Actuator Motors. Take off the door panels put volt meter on wire to the unit, you should get +12 and them -12. If that is ok, check motors by giving them power. I did this and found that my passenger motor would only work sometime. Order new motor from ebay for ~$7. Works like a charm.
