the little thing that says maintenance required under the rpm gauge, well its half green and half yellow. checked the oil and it was a little lower than normal but not a quart low. could be a bad sensor? i have no idea, it could be a number of things so no telling what the problem really is. when i first got the car it was red until i changed some sensors and the thermostat, then it was green.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

all it is is a reminder that things need to be checked..it turns yellow every 3k miles..and when it turns red it means that something big like a timing belt needs to be changed..serves no real purpose

No it doesn't....It is only an oil change/general check up reminder. Only way to check if your oil is low is pull the dip stick and take a clean reading. If your running a stock accord block, its always a good rule of thumb to check your oil levels weekly as these motor eat oil once they get high miles on them. If the "oil" light in the dash starts flashing or staying on, then you have no oil pressure and need to shut the motor off right away. You can reset the little indicator by sticking the end of your key in that slot and pushing it in, it will roll back to green.Originally posted by crazyychriss123 View Postprolly just letting me know the oil was getting low then.
thanks, i wasn't sure what that M.R light was for

i want to get a manual, was thinking of just going up to Barnes and noble or the local library to see if they have oneOriginally posted by Straight Success View PostFrom the manual:
Every 7500 miles, the light will turn from green to yellow to indicate routine maintenance.
The light will change from yellow to red when the 7500 mile mark is passed without reset.

Then your fine if you just changed your oil less then 3k miles ago (if synthetic oil then over 4k miles is fine as well.) Also just because he didn't change his oil, doesn't mean thats why he threw a rod.Originally posted by crazyychriss123 View Postdamn, i just got a oil change not to long ago, but i have been doing a lot of driving since i moved 30 miles from town.
