ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    issues before i buy

hello all, im about to buy a 92 cb7 ex auto with problems for $300. whats happening is it pulls hard to the right. he never hit a pothole but this gradually got worse and worse. i feel its the hub/bearing. the other problem is the car shifts fine but the letter D for drive constantly blinks. im assuming its the tcu. other than light rear quarter rust and a dented fender the car is great. White with blue interior rear oem wing and coupe alloys i think they call them daisys. i have to wait 10 days for him to get a title then itll come home with me. i knew id buy another honda " Mark you were right ".
(sold to h22wagon93, granite cb7 $1000.00) and c91bse7 cash with trade, jdmfreak, thanks guys!

The "D" (which is the D4 light) is a TCU error code. It means the TCU is functioning... something else is failing.

Pulling could be an alignment issue, a suspension issue, a tire issue, etc...
    Alignment is most likely.

In the future, please make your thread titles descriptive of the actual problem, so people that know about such things will help... and it will help future people with the same issue find the thread (and their answers) when they search.

As long as you're not planning to drive the car immediately I guess it's alright. It all depends on how much you are willing to put up with. Before buying though I would take the car to a shop and have everything looked over so you know EXACTLY what's going on. You may have a a $1500 in work that needs to be done and you don't even know it. You could try seeing if the seller is willing to compensate you for having it inspected.

Sounds good but i think for a little more you could find one with less problems an just me but i like manual. I just bought a 92 ex for 400 an the only thing wrong is the fuel pump went out but car is good with no rust. But i live in the suth so rust not an issue with cars here that often. But sounds ok

This is about his car, not yours.

sorry if that was out of line. Was just simply suggesting that with a little more money he could probably find a car with less issues. Again my apoligies.

lol this is my 3rd accord. first cb7 sedan then cb9 wagon. im my own mechanic and the car will do alot of sitting cause i have a company car for back and forth to work. so no external mechanics will be visited just me and a lot of tools and greasy hands lol. but ya ill look into alignment first. my cousin does that with a tape measure right in the yard so thatll be done to see if its off as for the D how would i tap into that? will a obdII scan tool tell me? and being from mass we have a ton of salvage yards and most of them are my customers so i get great deals. i got for my jeep absolute complete grey heated leather interior dash, plastics and all $100. just to give ya idea. thanks everyone

It's an OBD1 car, so no, that tool will not help you.

The prodecure for reading that error code can be found in the thread marked "read this first!" at the top of this section.

For $300 you can't loose, you can part it if its too far gone. But if its worth saving I would.

Mass does have a lot of good deals. I bought a 92 LX with a JDM F22B DOHC swap for $400, didn't run cuz the guy hacked up the wiring (and a lot of other things). NH no deals to be found, guys up here think their shit is worth its weight in gold.
