ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Heat issues, trunk leaking and more..

Okay, so after I replaced the blower motor on my car and actually got some heat to move I've noticed that it doesn't seem to get hot at all... it gets warm at most. Why would it only blow lukewarm air?

And then in my trunk it seems to be leaking right there by the taillights on the like unibody filler and is cracked through.. can I just put silicone on it or will that not hold up?

Also, how do I replace the window motor on the drivers door? And how can I test it to make sure it needs to be replaced? It has a really hard time moving the window and almost seems like its sticking to the window rails?

I have the rear spoiler as well with the light bar and it doesn't work can I replace the lights and if I can how?

And I'm sure there is more issues I just can't think of them. Thanks in advance.

I have not replaced one in my cb but i did in my cd and i figure its mainly the same.
take the door panel off, remove (if any) plastic coverings underneath.then you should be able to find a small motor mounted in the door. once located youll also need to find the bottom of the glass window where there is a mount holding the window to the track. (you may have to move the window up and down to find a position that allows access to this point) take out the one small bolt, then remove the bolts holding the window regulator (motor) in place. after that you can slide your whole window up and out of the door, leaving room to remove the window regulator.
    hope it helps!

edit: also, while the window is removed clean the rails of dust n dirt and re lube them with silicone lubricant or something that will work well with rubber.

Did you let the car get all the way warm? Maybe a part of your heater core is blocked.

You can try, it may work and it may not. I know I have a bunch of silicone on mine and it still leaks really bad.

Try getting some silicone spray and spray it into the tracks before doing anything else. This stuff works wonders for windows. It has to be silicone spray though. Get it in the spray lubricants section at autozone.

I have the rear spoiler as well with the light bar and it doesn't work can I replace the lights and if I can how?

If anything you can get another light bar from a CB in a junkyard. I wouldn't try replacing individual LEDs, chances are the brightness wouldn't match. If you look under the spoiler you should see like 4-5 screws holding a small panel on. Take those out (you will have to take the spoiler off, Look for the bolts on the sides and in the middle of the trunk lid while its open.) and the light bar should pop right out.

And I'm sure there is more issues I just can't think of them. Thanks in advance.
      Ask away.

I agree with previous post in that the heater core is probably clogged. You can pull the hoses under hood and backflush just the heater core.

Look in the diy section for the leak issue. There is a fix for it. The leak is more than likley coming in from the tail light.

+1 with previous post on silicon spray. Do this first an then move on from there if that dosnt work.

        +1 with junkyard parts.

Anything else comes up just ask. But search first as there is not much these guys have not covered so the answers are probably already out there.

So could the thermostat being stuck open cause me not to have any heat through my heater? The car warms up to nearly halfway and never moves again.. No matter how long i run the engine i get no difference in heat.. always lukewarm..

Check to make sure the control valve for the heater core is opening all the way. It's located on the water hose under the intake tube near the firewall.
