ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

car was misfiring here is what I did

Well I guess this is my first thread, my car was having problems misfiring, out of nowhere the car was working fine I was actually putting on my new set of skunk shocks and next day car started to do this annoying thing I did some research, but the further I read the more confused I got, they were talking about the ingnater, fuel pump, distributor, o2 sensor and so many other things tps so I did not know what was the problem the funny thing is that the car would start misfiring when on gear but if I would put it in neutral and give it gas it will rev normal no misfiring at all so I thought it cant be fuel or spark so I started looking for leaking vacuum hoses or lose wires but nothing so I read somewhere here in the forum that if I unplug the o2 sensor the computer would work on its factory settings or something like that so I got tired of this stupid problem after two weeks of having the car this way ( I do not drive this car everyday ) I unplug the o2 sensor and there it was problem solved, of course the check engine light turned on but the car was working normal now, so I drove it this way for a couple of days and it was fine so I went ahead and bought a new o2 sensor and problem solved car is fine now I hope this can help someone out there

was your car popping and bogging down when at a stoplight or something and you have it in gear and then when you go to drive it acts like it doesnt want to go and then it starts to die or does die?

I got as far as "i put on my new skunk shocks" and stopped reading... skipped to the end. A little punctuation works wonders, as does staying on the actual topic at hand (your shitty skunk2 shocks... and they ARE shitty shocks... have nothing to do with your car misfiring.)

You replaced the o2 sensor, which is only ONE solution to a misfire. That's like saying "I'm sick" and taking a couple aspirin... it might help, it might not... it's just throwing a random solution at the problem, hoping it works.
I hope you used an NTK or Denso sensor, and not a Bosch one... otherwise, you'll be replacing that sensor again in the next month or so. Bosch sensors don't work properly for our cars, even though they supposedly produce a model for us.

As for those shocks... they're better than 20 year old blown stock shocks, but they're still total garbage. They can't even hold up to Skunk2's own springs without blowing out in a relatively short time. You should have invested in some Konis, and not blown your money on the trendy tuner brand.

hondaracer4 and Peng... do either of you have a check engine light on? Does it come on at highway speeds (50mph+)? Check the error code. If it is code 41 or 43 (most likely 43) then you have an o2 sensor problem, and the "solution" that the OP came up with will fix your problem (unless there is more than one thing wrong with your engine.) Other than that, be sure to properly set your base idle and ignition timing, replace all the basic "tune up" parts (cap, rotor, plugs, wires... don't get suckered by fancy performance wires, just use NGK or Sumitomo... they work better than anything else, trust me.)

Deeve is right.Post that crap in a members ride thread because it done not have anything to do with how your car is misfiring. It is cool but I wanted to read about a misfire not shocks. If it was in a members ride thread people would like it alot because you have a nice car! make shure if you post a members ride thread you follow the rules..you have to get 30posts under your belt before you can post outside if beginner. I might check your fuel injectors because one might be acting up but mainly I would check your timing belt and make shure it did not jump a tooth.
