Gentlemen, I have already searched this site diligently. I have found that gutted cats/test pipes sound horrible (mine sounds nice and deep already, with a DC Sports Header, and DNX cat=back exhaust...do NOT want any rasp whatsoever), offer little, no, or negative performance impact, and of course are worse for the air. My question is this! What about replacing the cat with a resonator? Like Megan Racing's resonator part# MR-CC-HA90(http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...358&catid=11)? You still have the insulation for sound dampening, is MUCH cheaper ($75) than buying even an OEM cat (~$125), and the look of a catalytic converter (ok, maybe not exactly, but to a degree). Thoughts? Specifically members who have this same set-up or a similair setup?
Thanks!
Thanks!
