ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I'm no expert but:

    Basic Tune-Up

    - Spark Plugs
    - Ignition Wires (Spark Plug Wires)
    - Distributor Cap & Rotor
    - Air Filter (Inspect First For Cleanliness)
    - Oil Change
    - PCV

    In depth Tune-Up (includes the above listed, plus)

    - O2 Sensor
    - Coolant Flush And Refill
    - Fuel Filter
    - Check/Clean EGR Valve/System
    - Replace any dry or crack hoses
    - Possible transmission fluid and filter change (depending on last time it was look at)
    - Inspect brake pads and rotors
    - Inspect shocks/struts
    - Inspect exhaust system for cracks/severe rust
    - Inspect tie rods and suspension components (replace any if necessary)

    Also, for future reference, this information is readily available in the stickies section. Take a look at them as they have tons of useful information pertaining to our cars.

      Basic tuneup would consist of changing.
      Spark plug cables
      spark plugs
      distributor cap and rotor
      fuel filter
      oil filter and oil
      air filter

      And if u want to go a lil further get.
      An icm or whole distributor
      a fuel pump and change your tranny fluid.

          Research. Google and online-parts stores are your friend.

          Prices will be different nationwide.

              Parts that I picked up to do my tune-up 'cause my baby is running like sh!t. I'm getting like 8-9 mpg, she's back firing, and tons of hesitation under 2500 rpms.

              * 4 quarts Mobil 10W-40 motor oil
              * 1 Mobil M1-104 oil filter
              * 4 NGK platinum spark plugs
              * Denso spark plug wire set
              * Fram fuel filter
              * Distributor cap and rotor
              * Denso O2 sensor (but I can't get the old one out)

              I may pick up a new air filter. I have to inspect my current one.
