check engine light and 02 sensor ?

my check engine light is on and it check the code and they say it is 02 sensor
it only flashes code 1 that is it. so I went ahead and replaced it. didn't know how old or how many mile on it. car has 228k so. but light is still on.
but this car has the F22a6 block with F22a1 manifolds and ecu.

replaced it with a brand new o2 sensor.

I checked out your link and I already pulled the code it is number 1 which is 02 sensor. but I replaced it. when the car sits for a while you start the car engine light stays off for little bit then comes on. so the o2 sensor heater circuit is working. the car isn't getting bad gas mileage either so o2 sensor is sending signal to ecu.

Did you use a Bosch o2 sensor? Because they don't work properly for our cars (why Bosch makes and sells them, I don't know... they NEVER work properly.)

i never got a cel 1 for a o2 sensor, maybe check the connection or check continuity of the wiring going to the ecu. possible ecu fault.

I had the same exact issue with another car (non honda) Turned out there was a short in the ecu. Got a friend who can let you borrow and ecu and try that?

True. I meant to comment on that... o2 sensor codes are usually 41 and 43. 41 is DEFINITELY the o2, and 43 (fuel supply system) is more often than not.

OP did you try resting the ECU. The code will stay on continuously unless you reset it (disconnecting the battery and taking out the fuse for the ECU in the engine bay fuse box).

yes it was a bosch o2 sensor. but I will reset the computer and check the code again.
if code comes back I will switch computer with my other 92 accord and see if light comes on the other car if it is the computer.
other accord is the same thing only 2 months apart on build date same trim.
