ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    heater core hoses

alright guys, so i just abot removed all the ac things and am in the process of removing the heat.

didnt have a problem with the heat, the problem was that my main engine harness didnt work, so i replaced it and the clips didnt reach, plus most of the ac stuff was already out of the car so i left it out and deleted it.

the heater core is my next job on hand. I know how to take it out, but what do i do about the two hosees that go to it..

    do i

    1. block the holes straight from the block with some little rubber blockers.

    or

    2. loop the lines with a 3/4 size that fits over the 5/8 line.

    or

    3. you tell me what is the right way to do it.

I know taht he dx model didnt have ac, but i havent seen the engine bay of a dx model before and dont know what they have..

let me know what to do..

if it was me i'd either loop it or plug it. if the nipple on the head is removable i'd remove the nipple and put a plug that way it'll look clean.

Loop it is what most people do. Or you can weld the plugs shut which a lot of people also do with race cars that don't run a heater core.

Looping would be the simple fix and also would leave the ability to reinstall later if wanting.

Loop them. You'll need to shorten the hose on the engine side of the firewall so that they connect a little easier when you mate them together. Then use a hose coupler to connect the two hoses. You can get the coupler at any auto supply store. I don't remember what the right size is, but if you buy the radiator hose repair kit one of three fits just right. The kit only cost about $5
