ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    auto seat belts

i have a 91 LX Coupe which comes with automatic seat belts. my driver's side belt functions perfectly fine but my passenger side only works like once a month lol..

anyone else have this problem? what did u do to fix it?
i wanted to do a manual seat belt conversion but i have no experience in welding. and having to weld the brackets does not sound like a safe transition.. if u get in an accident and ur body jerks hard enough, it would seem like the bracket would yank right off..
    RIP '91 LX.

The lifetime warranty on the seatbelts MIGHT work but i doubt it, its more for the belts themselves not the motor/track

Adding coupe manual seatbelts might be easier, they do not have height adjustments which require being welded on. im not 100% sure on how they are attached though as i have never removed the plastic cover around it.

the warranty with the seat belts will cover your problem OP. call and make a appointment at your local Honda dealer. they will find the problem on visit 1 and fix on visit 2 .

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

i wanted to convert it to manual seal belts but then wanted to keep it for the uniqueness of it.. i haven't made my mind up yet with them, as with the rest of the mods i wanna do to my car. whether a boosted rebuilt f or build an all motor h22 n boost later, koni's with weapon r's or full func. n form etc...

i just need a temporary fix til my mind is cleared. now that i know they come with a warranty that'll be great to get the auto's fixed . when i take it to Honda do i need any type of paper work? or do they just straight up do it for free?
              RIP '91 LX.

I just brought my accord to the Honda dealership for a alignment and they told me there was a recall & it had to do with the auto seat belts. Not sure if the recall has anything to do w/ your problem as i didnt care much to ask what the recall specifically was but if it does Honda Fixs recalls for free.

I brought my car to Honda. They ran my vin and told be about the recall. I have a 90 LX with 184,7XX so I don't think condition has anything to do with it. And u don't have to pay for a recall. Recalls have nothing to do with the owner it has to do with poor craftsman ship from wherever the car was put together.

But alot of the time there is a expiration on the recall. Like they give you a certain about of time to bring it in after that date. They will no longer fix it for free. I would imagine ours is up by now.

Again im pretty sure the warranty does not cover the motors

It covers the belts themselves not the track/motor

i've bought my integra and accord in before and both times they ask if it has the auto belts and tell me they don't cover the automatic tracks and shit.

It's not a recall, its more of a warranty Honda has. Any car after 1986 with faulty seat belts will be replaced for free I'll see if I can find the thread on it.

I went to dealer with my old 90 sedan to get keys made and i asked about the seatbelt, but the guy said i had to bring it in the morning to have a tech inspect it. From what i was told they dont cover it if the damage was your fault or whoever owned the car before, and he said it could be the control unit but he wasn't sure if that was covered or not..

                              Yes, this is correct!
I took my lx in 08 and thats exactly what the guy told me.

Instead I just replace the control module under passenger seat and ta-da, it work again like magic.
