ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Please help. I want the 5lug bad. Thanx guys.

Well I am not sure its the proper/easiest way to do the rear disk conversion, but remove the entire rear suspension and replace it with the suspension from an Accord that had rear disk. Then swap the hub with a prelude hub and use the prelude nut. I think you have to switch over to a GSR rotor but otherwise keep the stock Accord caliper.

you switch to type r rotors. I tried using the type r but they did not fit the hubs i had, some member are using type r though. I ended up just getting 01 accord v6 rotors (front and rear)

any 92 or 93 that has rear disc's. its easier to pull the whole rear subframe with the sway bar attached. then swap out the the accord hub for the prelude hub. and make sure you pull the e-brake cable from the donor car. auto's and 5spd's have different e-brake cables.

              goodluck.

Oh. I didnt know about taking the sub frame. Is that because its less bolts to get all those parts? Or do you need them? I thought the knuckes were just swapped. I havent done much with the rear end. I have an auto and plan to swap should i get one from an auto to match my car, not my tranny... None of this was in the forums i read.
                Thanks

DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT get the rear disk setup from a wagon. subframe and control arms are ok but NOT the REAR DISK SWAP if you want to do five lug. it has been gone over a few times but something with the bearings and 5 lug hubs wont work. just pull everything from any 90-97 accord sedan or coupe with rear disks and youll be fine.

also as stated get the proper ebrake cables to match your car.
and if you have a dx or lx with rear drums youll get an uprgrade by swaping out your rear subframe for the ex(disk) subframe. youll get a stock sway bar with it. its not much but its something.

Ok thank you. This is exactly what i was looking for. Yeah i have a dx. Everything is an upgrade. Lol
Does it mean anything that its made in japan not america or canada?

its just easier to take the whole thing, then trying to take parts. and like ressurector said the wagons rear spindle is a different size. so dont get your rear disc from a wagon.

Ok. Thank you. I love this site. I have my game plan now. Im on my way to frankencar. Lol i never liked hondas till i bought this, and fell in love.
+ a rear sway bar is a nice plus. I love hangin' the curves, hitting exits at highway speeds.
Any other useful tricks are welcome
