ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Clutch interlock switch

My Accord would not start at the bank today, it ran fine all day starting and stopping at several locations with no problems. When I got in the car to leave my car failed to start and I saw the broken pieces of a plastic\rubber plug on the left hand side of my drivers floorboard.
I recognized it from when my cruise control quit working, the plug on the front side of the clutch pedal broke and my cruise control quit.
I can see where the plug goes in because there is an open hole. It's at the VERY top of the clutch pedal anyone know an easy way to get to it?
    Thanks and Be Well

    yeah...

take off the silver box above the kick panel. 2x 10mm screws. you should see a yellow and a grey plug. the yellow plug is the clutch safety switch. i would suggest laying your driver seat all the way back, removing the steering wheel and laying upside down under there. also i would suggest putting something to extend the seat too or else your back will be sore the next day.

i actually just did this over the weekend and i took pics. i can't post them now though sorry.

Thanks for the input I'm just going to remove the seat to work under the dash.
That's how I've always worked under the dash, more room and ALOT more comfortable. Would love to see the pictures if you can post them, I'm sure that it will help others in the future because that plug is made of plastic and someone else will have it break on them as well.

the yellow plug is teh clutch safety switch. the bolts on the silver control box are 10mm and the bolts that hold the switches in place are 17mm. i used a paper clip to jump the clutch safety switch and electrical taped the hell out of it.

        any questions?
