Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    car wont start

    ok so i have a 92 lx 5 speed bone stock.. i was beating on it while the gas light was on and when i pulled into the gas station it turned off and would'nt start again. WTF is wrong with my car?? lol It is trying to start but it almost sounds like its not getting gas.. Did i maybe clog something from running it so hard with no gas and all the shit at the bottom of the tank and clogged my fuel filter?? Please help me out i checked all the fuses and everything was fine i get power everywhere just wont start up..

    Your fuel pump most likely went out. Have someone turn the ignition on while you hold your ear over the fuel pump area (in trunk under seat). You should hear the pump turn on and build pressure. Once the pressure has reached a certain level, the noise will go away. If you don't hear a noise at all, chances are the pump is shot.

      Do you hear the fuel pump turn on when you put the key into accessory mode? Can you check for fuel pressure? A clogged filter probably wouldn't lead to sudden failure like you've described.

      Otherwise you may not have spark. Your distributor possibly failed -- it happened to me and that would cause your car to crank but not start. Any auto supply store should stock a spark indicator tool to tell you.

        Main relay I would guess... replace it or repair it.

        Do that before you spend alot of time replacing the fuel pump.

          good shit fellas thanks alot. its dark out now ima get to it first thing tomorrow morning.. i think it is the fuel pump b.c i dont hear shit when i turn the key... hoping for the best thanks again
