ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Electronic FPR?

I picked up my f20a dohc today and was checking it over and noticed this

This electric solenoid is hooked up to the FPR

Does anyone have any info on how this works and why they choose this over the vacuum operated design on every other car?

works just like any other vacuum related solenoid....(eg.. iab solenoid)

      Well yes i understand that

But its clearly electronically controlled which means the ECU decides when it wants to reduce fuel pressure or not. Im just wondering if there is an advantage to this and if its even possible to wire it up?

I had the same type of solenoid on my JDM ZC. I didn't hook it up and the car ran fine, but I still wonder if it would have made it run even better. Good call on the f20a. I wanted to go that route too because its unique and a direct swap but the H22 was just too tempting.

          That was my thought exactly

If i knew where to run the 2 wires to the ECU i might hook it up. I guess ill keep it on hold untill i get a pt2 ecu.

And thanks. i decided to get an f20a because it was a good price. Everything else was just a bonus

I know the forum gods won't like this (it's off topic), but did that motor come with the original ECU? If you don't mind me asking, how much did it run you?

Ebay had one for $495 before I bought my H22 and I was seriously considering it, but the shipping was $395, so it was more cost effective to just buy the H22 from HMO.

No it has a return line

Its the same FPR as the accord ( well it is an accord ) but its eletronically controlled vs mechanically

The motor did not come with a pt2 ECU

                The motor ran me $445

And no one will mind an off topic question such as that.

Does anyone have any idea which 2 pins on the ECU control this solenoid? Now that i have a PT2 i would like to wire it correctly.
