ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    overheating issue

Ok so about night ago I was coming back home and my car started overheating when I came to a stop my fan wasn't coming on so I jumped the sensor that's by thermostat and it came on and so I figured it was the sensor so I gave it a night so I can check it out right and now that I did...I had it on so it can reach warming temperature and as I was touching my hoses from the radiator the top was hot and the bottom one cold I don't think its the water pump cause its new when I did my H22 swap..my only thought was the thermostat..my system is bleed out so no air at all..

both hoses should be hot if the thermostat were working(correctly).

It could be your water pump. I had a Passat that was overheating and replaced everything but the water pump because it was "new". I got everything back together and it still was overheating. Turns out the proproller on the pump broke off. It had the same "symptoms" as your CB.

Not sure if you fixed it yea, bit it sounds like a bad thermostat. I would just change the cooling fan switch out as well if your replacing the thermostat.

I had a similar issue and swapped out my thermostat the 2 sensors temp and fan switch and still overheated the only thing i had added or modded around that time was my header and down pipe with no heat shield so dn if that may be the cause. but anyways I bought this additive called hyper lube or something bright bright flourecent green from oriellys and its supposed to keep your engine about 20 degrees cooler and its worked so far for me. Also check your fan timer switch behind the glove box .
