ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Intake manifold tubes/ intake question(pic included)

I just wanted to know if the tubes near the throttle body(indicated by the green arrows) are connected to the proper places? Also what do I do with the little stem looking passage on the intake piping(circled with blue)?

    Thanks in advance!!

There is actually a vacuum routing diagram on the underside of your hood

A vacuum line from the air boost valve on the right side of the intake manifold should go to the blue circled area

The top one that is the black plastic one with the hose should go to the skinny hook up on the intake. The first one on the manifold closest to the firewall should be plugged. use a vacuum cap or piece of hose with a screw in it. Pic for reference hope it helps

Could I run the car without the cap until I go and get one tomorrow?

Yes, it just won't idle right.

Would it cause a low idle? If so I'll just wait until tomorrow to change it up because I don't want my car to cut off on me lol

No its a high idle, can even cause erratic idling. VERY annoying. I would just look at your vacuum lines, cut some off. You only need about an inch, just enough to get It on the nipple and put a bolt/screw in it.

Im sorry to bring back an old thread but on my car the first nipple closest to the firewall has a vacuum line that goes back to the vacuum tank. How do I get around this.

The actual location of the lines doesn't matter, vacuum is vacuum. One of them should be plugged, the others all get used.

I was looking at the vacuum diagram under my hood and it shows all of them being used. It seems like they all have a purpose.

                      Heres the diagram:

They do, IF your using the stock air box. If your not, then the back one gets capped.

So are all the nipples being used? Are you running a stock air box? Can you snap a pic?

I have a cold air intake

I can't snap a pic right now, but it is set up the way it is in the diagram right now.
