ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Cel, Pulled Codes, Where To Next?

Hi there, so using the forums for pulling codes i got that done.
    It showed: (- _ _ _ _ ---) then repeats.
I was wondering if the first flash is a separate code or showing its going.

If a separate code then I have a code for O2 sensor A, and code 43 for a faulty fuel supply system. I'm worried about the second.
My car is still running normal, no problems with it.
Made a large trip with the light on just yesterday, made it there and back (250kms both ways).
The light worried me as it will turn on a little while after driving, Then be off soon as I restart the car.
So.. Im wondering what yall think the car is teling me, and what i should do about it.

    Thanks for any help!

41 and 43 are both o2 sensor codes. "Fuel supply system" is misleading.

Replace that o2 sensor with a Denso or NTK unit. NO Bosch, they don't work.

So what I'm taking from this is the car is saying the sensor is probably gone. Making the car think it might not be getting proper fuel supply?

The bad o2 makes the system think the air-fuel ratio is wrong by sending incorrect info to the ECU which then sends the Idle Air Control Valve, fuel regular thinng, etc. into a frenzy trying to correct something that really doesn't need correcting. The result is rich or lean condition and engine bogging under load. You're lucky you have the code. My o2 died so gradually that it never placed a code. I had a nightmarish driving experience for a number of weeks until I figured out what was wrong.

Mine died gradually as well. It would throw 43 whenever I hit about 55mph. The CEL would stay on until I turned the car off, then it would stay off, though the code was stored. It drove me nuts as well. I still haven't changed it (though I have a tunable ECU in my car, so I just installed a program that ignored the o2 sensor... not a good fix, but it got it running temporarily, as it was bogging down terribly at the worst times!)

But yeah, the o2 sensor tells the ECU how much fuel to supply... so essentially, it is the FIRST link in the "fuel supply system". 41 is "primary oxygen sensor heater"... which is another weird name for "your o2 sensor is bad!"
