ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

starts but ildles rough then dies

HI everyone, I read all the beginner threads to see if there are any diagnosis pertaining to my situation but did not see any. Before anyone who is kindly to give advice Id like to tell you what I did so far,
about two weeks ago my wago was running perfect, yesterday It started but idled rough then died, I checked all plugs and OIL was everywhere,
I then replaced the valve cover gasket, tube seals, and cap and rotor, as well as all wires. I then started it and seemed to do the same thing. when entering the distributor and retightening down the rocker assembly I followed the thread that was posted on here. Also, when I give it gas it seems to refuse injection and cause the motor to die.

ANy Suggestions or troubleshooting ideas as well as own personal experiences welcome. This site is awesome

I would pull your plugs and inspect them, willing to bet they are coated in carbon, as well as your Intake Manifold. Sounds like new plugs are in order, you didnt mention changing them, and a good cleaning of the IM, FITV, and IACV.

I would definitely clean your IACV and look for vacuum leaks.

cool.. is there a write up on here on how to do that bro?? I never have done that before. The thing is , is that it rough and died when I pushed the gas before and after I completed the minor work. I get spark, it charge, fuel I think, but it bogs down when I push on the gas. I am a bit confused hahha. is it fuel or is it timing?

No, but by your description of you pressing the gas and the car dies leads me to think your IM, IACV, and FITV are filthy and need to be cleaned.

The FITV is right next to the IACV on the IM. If those dont work, report back to us whats still going on and we can go from there.

If you just did a tune up, but only fixed/cleaned half of your car, the other half is still in a dirty/clogged state. Get my point? You gotta do the whole thing not just half ass it.
