ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    cb7 wont start

I havent been around here in quite awhile but posting for a friend. I've searched and search on both problems and not really found anything to pin point the problems. 1st off He has a 92 f22a1 5 speed. When he bought the car it drove very well for about two weeks and just shut off so i went over and checked somethings out. He's getting spark and fuel at the fuel rail and took the starter to autozone and its working fine.Changed the cap and rotor, wires and plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump and resoldered the main relay.I also checked all the fuses and they are all good im thinking its either the injectors are not opening or the ecu is going bad. any ideas anyone?
i also didnt want to start another thread but on my sisters 91 auto f22a1 its leaking from between the dizzy and the head? maybe the o-ring is shot but i just replaced the dizzy with a brand new one about 2 months ago and torqued it down to spec. she also has a new valve cover gasket done 2 months ago aswell. all help is very apprechiated..

i would replace the injectors considering he already replaced the main causes of this problem. buying new can be costly too, do some smart shopping before you buy. and abt the auto, mine is a 5 spd but i had the same prob with a new dizzy.just replace the "O" ring bc it is possible for them to go bad sitting in the inventory room somewhere.

on the injectors can i take them out and clean them? hes kind of low on money.now could a reason for the injectors not opening be a faulty wire could i use a circuit tester and check them? and i could just buy a o ring from a part store or do i have to get a universal o ring set?

It may be the injector resistor box.

Yeah, that's where you can find it. I've only seen one instance of that going bad on this site... but seeing it just once proves that it can happen! I wouldn't know how to test it (perhaps testing the resistance at the injector plugs?), but I'd be willing to be it'd be fairly cheap from a junkyard. They aren't common things to fail, so a junkyard part may work just fine. I believe it's a pretty simple thing to replace, so it might be worth a shot.

Is it actually cranking? I ask because if it was cranking, i don't know why you would have taken the starter to check if it was working.
