ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Corner light flashing and wipers moving when ignition on

I just finished putting my motor back in and everything else, and it runs but I have an electrical problem. I messed with the harness on the driver side and tried to re-route it a bit, but I guess it created an electrical issue and I'm disappointed.

Everything's plugged in so I need help tracing what might be causing this. As soon as I turn on the ignition the wiper motor starts moving automatically even though the wipers are off, and the driver side corner light is flashing. The dashboard lights are flashing dimly too, and it's all synced up with the wiper motor's interval. I recorded a video to show what I mean.

So can anybody help me with this? I'm freaked out and feel like I really screwed something up.

wow that sux, best advice i could give you is to get some sleep and try tomorrow to retrace all your wiring. and most likely this is caused by a bad ground back feeding.

i watched the video a few times and you are no Martin Scorsese
did you cut and splice your harness

Sorry, I was exhausted (still am), it was raining, and I just wanted to take a video and get it over with. I only cut two wires so I could extend them. I decided not to do it and reconnected them. They are both black wires. I can give a lot more detail on how it looks tomorrow if that helps.

For anyone who was wondering I figured it out. I did forget to tighten a ground connection and accidentally left a couple things unplugged under the dash, but the wipers still kept going automatically. Then I noticed the wire to the motor was being pinched, so I freed it up and it fixed the problem. Bizarre but it worked.
