ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    used engine

I have concluded that after 285k my motor is losing coolant at a very slow rate into the combustion chamber...it still runs fine other than when you first start it it likes to cough and stumble for about 10 seconds and then things are normal...I have been checking around the portland area and found an engine at a local wrecking yard for 575.00 (ouch!!!) and that is just the long block no manifolds or distributor....since the cars seems to be getting me to and from work (20 miles round trip) would it be wise to keep looking on craigslst for a engine or does that price seem about right and has a 90 day guaranty....just looking for a couple opinions....thanks Matt

That price might be a bit steep. Try craigslist first.

That seems a little pricey, I've seen them on Craigslist here for like $200-$300

wow thats a bit over priced. f22a and f22bs are like $100-150 at the jy here and h22s go for like $250-300.

Yeah i would definitly have to agree with it being a little overpriced. I've seen whole cb7 parts cars for around that price.

Thats what I figured too!!!Im just gonna keep looking daily on craigslist....If I did opt to fix it what are the chances of the head not being cracked and just being a head gasket? and while I have it apart I could do the timing belt too...the damn thing runs so good!!!it pisses me off that this is happening!!!and I have never done a headgasket before.....any one in portland wanna make a few bucks??? may need help!!!
