I didn't call your setup a $150 setup. That was hypothetical. However, if you paid $650 for OEM replacement shocks and crap Dropzone coilover sleeves, you got ripped off.
I'm not "dogging your setup". I'm merely stating a fact that your shocks aren't made to handle your drop or spring rate. You're the one getting defensive. I'm not making these things up just to hurt your feelings, kenny. All I'm trying to do is give people advice on how to SAFELY lower their car, because most people are too lazy or clueless to do that research themselves. MNDude07 and I spent a good deal of time learning the specifics of various suspension components (he even made a thread, which is a sticky in the suspension section, that shows much of what he learned in his contact with the various companies.)
If you can't lower your car safely, because it's too expensive... is it acceptable to lower it unsafely?
Koni STR.T will handle a greater drop, and they cost about as much as Tokico Blues or KYB GR2s (which ALSO can't handle a drop). Quality lowering springs from Neuspeed, H&R, or Tein are $200 or less. $200 springs and $350 shocks. Less than you spent on your setup, and decently matched. YOU DON"T HAVE TO SPEND $1000+... just a little time researching and understanding how these things work.
What changed me? I haven't changed... yet. I care about the safety of my members. I own this site, and I try my best to keep people from learning incorrect information here... especially if that information could result in them dangerously modifying their car out of ignorance.
I'm very quickly getting to the point where I just don't care anymore. Saving $200 is more important than having a safe car to the majority of the people here. If you want to know what changed me, ask me again in 6 months... and I'll refer to those very same people. That is what is changing me.
