ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    washer fluid pump

This is my third cb7. I owned two previously and did not encounter what i have seen today. Since i bought this cb7, the washer pump never worked. I checked fuse and it was good. The wipers run off the same fuse and they work, which doesnt make sense to me as to why the pump would not. So i assumed the pump was dead. I bought a new pump and when i went ro replace it today, i notice the original clip/harness for the pump was only grounded. Someone had flipped it because they were not using the positive from that clip. There was an additional wire which i traced that ran through the firewall under the dash and found it not connected to nothing. I tried the original clip on the new pump and no luck. So i set it up the same way they had done it but connected the wire they had run to a 12v toggle switch, sure enough the new pump is working. I would like to reconnect it and have it set up so i can just pull the stick on the wheel and have it spray like i should. It got dark outside and cold. No time to follow the wire. Does anyone know from past experiences were the wires for the pump come from so i can trace it back. I did take a quick glimpse but was not able to follow it. Any help is great, thanks.

try removing the steering column covers and you should get a better view of the wiper stalk and the corresponding wires. You might have to remove the steering wheel to actually unplug them.

good idea. Ill look for post regarding how to remove the steering wheel because i have no clue. Beforr i go that far bavk though, im pretty sure the wire from the original clip has just been cut, cause its still grounding. if someone knows off hand where to find it that would be great before i go digging in the steering column.
