ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

If it is bubbling inside the reservoir and fluid is overflowing, air must be entering into the system from suction side of the pump. I haven't had that problem with my car but my son's Civic was doing it.

On his car, the suction hose was old and had a crack. Air was entering in to the system.

Check online parts catalog (Majestic Honda) for the car and see what is needed to replace.

I personally have not had many issues with the P/S on this particular car.

If the system needs to burp, yes it can cause this issue. Easiest way is to take the cap off the res and let the car run for a while, like 15-20 minutes.

Most of the time that alone will work the air out. They also sell a tool called a power bleader. Its a good tool to have in the box if you end up needing one, buy a good one.

The chances of air getting into the system are also pretty good. It does happen, and if your return line is shitty, it can allow air into the res and cause this.

The return line usually has a clamp on it. The high pressure line bolts up, but the return line usually has a banjo clip or a radiator hose looking clip jobby but smaller.

The lines are easy to replace if needed.

My end all trick to bleeding a system is to disconnnect the return line at the res, and allow it to pump into a jug. You'll want to keep adding fluid to the res while it cycles the fluid into the jug, but it will push the air out in the process. Once you have stopped getting air from the line, turn the car off(have a buddy to help) and reconnect the line as quickly as possible. Then, burp as mentioned in the beginning of my post by taking cap off and letting car run for a while.

        Hope this helps!!!
