Tips/ Guide on how to redo wiper water

I really didn't know how to phrase or word this question. How can I redo te system that controls the water spray on the windsheild when it's dirty? Upon closer inspection, all of the tubes are broken on both sides, and one of the spray nozzels in the hood needed to be replaced. The bottle that holds the water just leaks out of the pump. I would like to just junk what's there and start over. Any tips or guides on how to achive this? I've seen afew mebers threads were people have replaced their tubing with different colored ones, leading me to beleve it's not to hard to impossible to do.

You could retro fit any hood mounted sprayer to your hood. Newer models have a nicer spray pattern. Its an easy job. I used some off of a caravan. Really, its up to you which nozzle you use. The easiest would obviously be new OEM.

Verify that the system is working correctly first. If you need to replace the res, source one from the Junkyard. Thats what I would do anyways. Replacing the res is sort of self explanitory, so I'll skip that part.

Replace the pump too, its probably a $20 part. For the hoses, measure the diameter of the hose currently in use, compare to the ones that came off the car your sourced nozzles come off of if you didnt use CB OEM nozzles.

9/10 times they will be the same.

Either way its not that big of a deal. If they are different, consider using the size hose that ran the nozzles from whatever car you decide to pull them off of. So anyways, go to the parts store and tell them you need whatever size hose. I think its 1/4" but I dont remember off the top of my head.

Anyways, buy a length like 15' (its cheap, buy extra) and use the original route to run the new hoses. Pull out old while routing new, use the old as a guide. You'll need a barbed t fitting for whatever size hose you buy so you can supply the fluid to both sides.

Keep it clean and take your time. This isnt a hard job at all, but it will be a little time consuming. You'll see a junction where the one line becomes two. That is where I would apply the T-fitting.

    Good luck, hope that helps!!!

Thanks for the tips guys. Would I have to remove the left fender in order to access the hidden area with the hoses, or is it possible without?

There are three bolts that hold it in place. You kinda have to work blind on the one bolt, but if you feel around you'll find it. Google image has a few pics to give you an idea as to where they are.

I removed the splash guard on the d-side and pulled the front bumper cover.

It's not hard to get it done, it just requires patience as the bolts are difficult to reach, atleast the one is.

Otherwise its very straight forward. Tank removes from the bottom easiest, though I'm pretty sure you could prolly wiggle/finagle it out the wheel well once its disconnected.

I think with enough time and patience you could pull it out without removing thr bumper cover, but that takes like 10 minutes and made things a lot easier.

          Good luck man!

Thanks for the heads up! I tried removing the driver side panel before to access the washer fluid bottle since it was leaking, but after I took off two bolts I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come off! I think I'll go tackle this again today.

Well, the OEM hose is behind the fender. So if you want to get to it, you need to remove the fender. But you could also just leave the old hose where it is, and route the new hose in some more convenient location.

That could work too, thanks. I took a look under the hood and remembered I replaced one side of the hose already. The splash guard where the wiper fluid bottle is held tore off slightly, so I am able to access that part without taking anything off. I'll have to replace the pump first. Hopefully I may not have to replace the entire hose after all.
