ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Use a socket wrench with a 1/4 socket and a flathead adapter =P that will get the screw loose ( remember to use even pressure to not strip )

curtie94 you never told us if your car does this when its cold or hot.

It does it when warm. The misfire or what ever you want to call it reduces a lot above 1000 rpms.

I'm not a huge fan of the IACV, I would 1st off get that idle adj. screw moving (chip off all gray epoxy paint). Then, remove 2 bolts that hold IACV to plenum, sandwich a business card in between and bolt back together. Dial in a good base idle of around 800ish. This will bypass the IACV and give you a good chance to drive it and see if there's any improvements. From what you've posted, I'm thinking typical IACV problems. I will also add that w/o the IACV I tend to shoot for a 1K rpm idle to compensate for extra loads such as headlights for example.

          Ok I have an update.

          Today I checked everything.

I checked the plugs, all were out of gap too big. My gapper only went to .045 so thats what I used.

cleaned tb tightened down fitv while hot.

Here's the kicker, I noticed when the TB wouldn't close all of the way and I pushed it back by hand the cable moved too, so I loosened the throttle cable a little bit and no more problem.

Doesn't the start up valve mess up the idle sometimes? Because when I got the car that vacuum line was put onto a stud on the firewall, so me put it onto the cold air intake like it should and really that is when the idle loop started, it was intermittent, but I put it back onto the stud and boom no more problem.

I also reblead the cooling system. Reset the ecu. and replaced the mater cylinder, which needed to be done.
