ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

what year is your car? and model

        That is false.

There is a DIY on the F22B1 swap in the Swaps section, written by darkcloud. Look for it.

If you're removing a healthy F22A4 just to "upgrade" to the F22B1, don't bother. The F22A4 has more performance potential than the F22B1. The ONLY reason to do an F22B1 swap is if you need a replacement engine, and you happen to find a good one cheap.

I have a 91 coupe with a manual tranny. the engine is f22a1 with 278,xxx and some serious oil leaking from the rear of the engine under the intake manifold. I'm only swapping to stay on the road not for performance... From what I've been reading the f22b1 doesn't have much to offer as far as doing any kind of build.

For mild stuff, or for turbo, its fine... but if you wanted a serious N/A build, or if you were just doing it as a VTEC upgrade (lots of people get suckered in by that crappy SOHC VTEC), then it'd be a waste. But if your A4 is on the way out, and you're not looking for anything but a reliable replacement, it's not a bad choice. The swap is about as involved as an H22 swap, though.
Not terribly difficult, but not as straightforward as another F22A.

Perhaps STREET-SPEC actually was correct. It looks like the F22A mounts are what Darkcloud used. I'd send him a PM and ask him to clarify. Modification of the driver's site engine mount has always been a part of the swap, but he says he didn't do that... so now I'm curious.

i thought the only differences were when they were switching to hydraulic mount on the rear and i just found out the drivers side is hydraulic for 96-97 model. i know i used a pass. side mound off a cd5 on my cb. the tranny mount and front mount should be the same. thats just from looking at the j/y though.

lil d do you have the oil cooler attached between your oil filter and block? I had to take mine off and replace the o ring to turn an engine that wouldn't stop leaking into a good one without replacing the engine
