Issues after dsm turbo install.

So you dont even know how much youre boosting? Not good. Yes a crushed WG will have a lower pressure but by how much? You need a boost guage to see just how much youre running and see if its above what the MAP sensor can handle. If youre under 9-10psi then the map sensor is the most likely culprit.

As for your base map on your ecu, I wouldnt throw it away just yet. Check and see if the other stuff pans out first.

True that. I need a boost gauge. I was working on the car yesterday and noticed one injector not staying completely on. The little metal clip was broken so I zip tied it for now and the car started up alot better and the map sensor CEL went away... Thought this was vert weird. I left it running for a while and even bright it up to about 4k rpm to put some boost on it and it still through no cel. I did however also moved my bov vac line and WG vac line. The wg vac line is on an unused nipple on the back of IM right next to brake booster vac and bov is connected to the first line on the top of the throttle body that used to be connected to the olds intake air box.

Maybe your vac supply for BOV or WG was causing an issue with the vac needed for the map to function correclty.

Ok so I finally bought and installed a booat gauge. Its deff not boosting passed 10 since I cant really get all the way on it it pretty much gets up to like 6psi before it throws code and like it feels like its coming or something.

CEL 16 is Fuel Injectors....MAP is 3 and/or 5.

what injectors are you running my friend?

go to the junkyard and get a new clip for the
broken one you have zip tied. replace that.
never depend on zip ties when it comes to boosting.

So I finally got everything working. No more map sensor codes or fuel injector code. But it want running right with the 450's I had so I put the stock's in for now and the car runs ok but lacks fuel and the dog got into my work bench and chewed up my dsms... So now when I get on it it starts to act like it has a 2 step

I'm driving the car with those injectors yes, its my only car and need to get around. And im keeping it unger 3k doesnt seem to be giving me any issues yet.

So you obviously are not tuned then.

Being your only car, you should really take a hard look at what you are doing here. Seems to me like you are asking for it man.

Do it right, or don't do it at all.

This motor I have is just a test motor. Im not scared to blow it since I have another blick I'm building. I mean it would suck if it blew cuz itll be down but to me its not that big of a deal. To some I understand the whole do it right the first cuz in reality that is how it should be but it would bore me, I like trial and error, I like to take things apart and put it back together. Im a very hands on person. Plus I can't complain and say I've spent alot of money on this. Total cost of my short block all the turbo stuff and fittings totals out to like $350 & thats over guessing on prices I paid.

were you ever popping a code 3 or 5.
because everyone keeps bringing up a map sensor issue.
But you were getting code 16. which is injectors.
not sure why people keep bringing up map sensor.

and map sensor block off is not a good idea in your situation.

did you get the new injectors? and how does it run, if so?

I was getting a code 3 n injectors 16 but I found one clip broken so I fixed it n no more code. While I was at it I also moved my wg vac lone n bov vac line n I didnt get any codes any more. Dint know if the broken injector clip could have set both off or not but I did all that together before turning it over again. I also got a boost hause to see what all was going on.
