ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Prelude alternator upgrade question

I've read the prelude alternator upgrade post. So I ordered one because mine is on the way out... I specifically ordered the 90 amp 92-96 vtec prelude one but on the box and label it ses it's only 80 amps... I waited all week for it to get here, did I waste my time?... Everything is identical to my factory alternator, even the pulley... Kinda dissapointed since I work night shifts and stayed up all morning just to pick it up when I get off at 4am

    Specs:
    part# A-8378
112 amps - maximum output under full load
1433 watts - maximum output power

    58 amps @ 1800 rpm
    65 amps @ 2000 rpm
    88 amps @ 3000 rpm
    98 amps @ 4000 rpm
    105amps @ 5000 rpm
    109amps @ 6000 rpm
4000watts just so all the haters hear me comin!

The pulley should have an additional row so if it doesn't then it sounds like you have an Accord alternator.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Return it and say they sent you the wrong one.

I just came back from the parts store... When I ordered it I specificaly asked for the 90amp prelude alternator and the idiot parts guy ordered me a cb one because he said it fit and got here faster... But now I got to wait another week for the right one to get here. Lol... Thanks 4 the help y'all!

The brand new prelude alternator is $208 without taxes and core charge. The cb one they gave me is $162 without taxes and core charge but it's a reman. I hope they don't notice me bringing back the cb alternator for the core charge. Lol... Cb core $25, prelude core $75.

Is the price different? If so, I would demand to pay the cheaper price, since the parts guy decided to take it upon himself to do something other than you asked!
