Your thoughts on a K20 swap?

thinking about swapping out my DOHC F for a K20 what do you guys think? anyone know where i can get one?

A K20 would require custom mounts not available on the market.

And you can get one in a Civic or RSX.

A K24 would be better. Be prepared to spend at least 5k in the swap.

Boost what you have. The Money you'd spin on a mundane 200crank horses/150crank torque you'd get with the BEST K20 doesn't even beat out the performance of a JDMh22 which would perform the same (With a lower peak RPM) for way less money. The K24 would be a better choice but still overly expensive..it's not enough power increase to justify the cost.

I agree. the only reason to do a k20 or k24 is bragging rights. put the money into the f20 or h22 and you will get much better results.

Even an F22A can make more power than you'd need on the street with a reasonable amount of modification.

While I feel that the OP has no intention or ability to perform the swap(hence this thread) I also don't think you can say that the H22 engine is superior to the K20/K24. Is it worth the effort? Maybe not. But it's certainly not an inferior engine.

I second that. I have spend quite a bit of time looking at an array of engines and the thing is the best one for what alot are looking for is a built F22A!

To the OP: Spend the 5k and hook up the F/H for many of us the K just isn't worth it. I don't say that to be a downer but if you are looking for power with a modest budget the Stay away from the K.

this, i rape k20s all day long with my f20b swapped cb. k20s are cool but are being played out and the price is stupid high for a swap, i could pick up 2 h22s or f20b swaps with trans' for the price of one k20 swap. eh to each thier own. GL

I've taken a few rsx in my f20 cb7 to.

Stockish Ks, yea I could see people beating.

But it doesn't take much to push them beyond the realm of what F/Hs can put down... just w/bolt ons

I havent seen too many 200WHP F/Hs... w/o boost or not through a B series trans
