ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

which pipe has a crack in it? I had a crack in my filler pipe, and I could smell gas......

Exhaust rattling is probably just a heat shield.

Sounds like you have two seperate problems. First of all you have to jack the car up to look under there and hit the exhaust to find out what's loose. Could be a broken hanger, could be a broken resonator inside of the exhaust, could be a broken cat, could be a few different things, hit the exhaust and try to narrow down where it's coming from. Also look at all the fuel and brake lines, our cars are getting older and rusted lines are becoming more and more common. Check the fuel lines and fuel filler neck, if your fuel line is leaking, there's a good chance your brake lines aren't too far behind.

Please make an effort to type more clearly. I can barely understand your first post, which means I can't understand your problem, and I can't help you.

If there is a crack in your exhaust, that would not make things smell like gas... unless you were running incredibly rich.
If there is leak in your lines, look for wet spots. Park somewhere you could see such spots.

Check the connections under your hood for leaks... fuel rail, fuel filter...

Check your gas tank too!... When mine went it had a hole above the seam at the back that wasn't visible until I got right under it. When I changed it I found out the very back of my tank was only paper thin or less... I found out when my exhaust sprung a leak and no shops would touch it because of the fumes... So I ended up changing the tank myself before I even got to touch the exhaust:/
