ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    White Mist/Smoke From Radiator

I have a issue on my hands... Car has got a leaky radiator due to crappy install and hitting one of the cores. Now it was attempted at soldered up.. but its still leaking a little bit... Now that is my main concern.. but the other thing is when i have the cap of the radiator and the car has warmed up.. there is like a white mist/smoke literally coming out've the radiator... the temperature of the car is still sitting smack bang in the middle and aint overheating.. but the mist/smoke says to me that its damn hot!! Now... i really hope its not a headgasket..? What else could it be..? The car has overheated twice or so now.. but doesn't blow white smoke out the rear.. i've just noticed the engine is getting a bit "dirty" due to the overheating incidents. Help asap as its my daily car and driving my other 30yo car to work really isn't the best idea.

    Thanks.

Sounds like the radiator may have a hair line crack in it. Let it get hot then try to locate the area of mist/smoke, turn the car off and let it cool then get a closer look. If it's not cracked, then we go to step 2.

Replace or the radiator. Don't do shitty install this time.

Or, try repairing again with product as this. I don't have first hand experience on it but seems to work.

ahhh im just glad i haven't done further damage to this.. i'm meant to be swapping the motor out and putting it into a prelude i have here and selling that car off so i can minimize the amount of cars i got... and then put my h22 vtec into the cb7.. but for meantime i just want my old girl to drive for a bit longer.. so yeah i'll either get a new radiator when i fix up the front end properly or try fix this one up a bit.. but yeah the mist/smoke is coming from where we tryed to solder it up.. so i can understand what you guys are saying in regards to it being cracked.
