Hey everyone!,
For start I just wanted to thank you all who are currently viewing my post and thank you or the help. Here's my problem. Earlier in the year I had problems with the "s" light on the dash being on and the reason was because the positive battery cable and terminal was corroded where they connect. So I used baking soda and water and cleaned it and refined it etc. causing the "s" light to go away for about two months. I've had a hole between the catalytic converter and the rear exhaust pipe(goes to back of the car) and it was loud but at this time the light wasn't on. Pretty much last week the hole got bigger and the catalytic converter dropped. I fixed that with a pipe and an exhaust clamp and some jv weld. The noise is completely gone but now my "s" light on my dashboard is on. I'll start the car and in about 2 seconds it'll flicker on and off at times but will stay on right away. I tried to find the code to see what the problem was, so I jumpered the two wires together and turned the ignition on and the check engine light came on (like normal) although the "s" light didn't blink any code, it just stayed completely solid, not blinking at all. I even tried to unplug the tcu and plug it back in but the light remains on. To me this is unusual. I drove the car again and the light was off but I know it'll turn back on because it's been doing this since I fixed my exhaust. Why is the light solid, how do I fix it and keep it off? I already tried using a different tcu with the same matching numbers and all and no luck. What do I do? Why is the light solid?, and how do I fix it?
Thank you all,
Antonio
