ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It may very well need a charge, but do yourself a favor, the knob that is turned to take the temp from hot to cold, - grab it & pull straight back/out, look at the back side of the knob & make sure that the part that slides over the post hasn't broken. The CB7 I bought four years ago wouldn't blow cool air at all & the only problem it had was a broken knob - couldn't tell from the front side.

no I had to go to an AC shop. I also needed my friend's repair shop card certifying that he can purchase those.

Try searching craigslist locally, a lot of people sell cans on there for cheap. but you also need to buy the R12 can tapper and connection line for your low side line to actually be able to put the freon in.

Retro fitting is easy, any a.c shop can do it correctly. The fittings are cheap and it's as simple as pulling the r12 out and holding vacuum, then charging with r134.

Atleast in az you can't just buy r12 but idk off its different in other states. From what I've learned if your ac is having issues. Recharging is least likely to be your problem. Refrigerant doesn't loose its potenccy. It shouldn't ever need to be recharged unless you have a leak or the system gas been opened and leaked out. Example: how often do you change the refridgerent in your homes frisge? Probobly never, cuz it doesn't need to ve devices unless something else has malfunctioned. While recharging it may help. Itll probobly be temp. And end up being the same way down the road.

after 4 yrs of driving in AZ, I actually did have to refill about a half can of that freeze 12 stuff.

Oh and by AC shop I meant AC supply store. They didn't really fix anything there, just sold you the freeze 12 & R134a, and made custom lines for automotive AC systems.

Auto refrigerants is the absolute best i have ever used and ive been in the AC area along time! I strongly recommend you use it! It has stopped my AC leak and has kept my AC blowing cold for over 6 months. If you order AC use the master recharge kit. That is what i used.
