ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    h23a vtec swap ?'s

    Hey cb7 ppl.

    Bought a h23a vtec obd2 97+ motor.

Wondering if ppl r using the esp mounts or inovative mounts and Wut exact kit it is?
And did u buy a longer fuel hose to reach the fuel rail or use the fuel rail/injectors from the old f22a1 motor? Since the new motor is rhd.

Use the f series rail with some obd1 h22 injectors. You'll also need an obd1 distributor, I THINK rywire sells a obd1 to obd2 dis jumper harness.
As for mounts if I remember correctly you have to change the timing side mount bracket to the f22ax bracket.

Being RHD has nothing to do with it. The motor orientation does not change with the chassis. I am personally using my factory F series trans mount, front motor mount, and an H series engine mount and bracket. I am also using an H series filter to rail line, H series rail, and H series injectors all from an ODB1 H22A.

No need for that jumper harness. Use an ODB1 H22A dizzy and an Accord EX harness. This is my setup so it will depend on if you choose to run an internal or external coil. I have an external coil.

It mounts like an H22A. Follow the OBD2 H22A installation instructions, and you'll have the majority of it down.

And please, type like an adult. You're not texting your girlfriend, you're asking for help from experienced tuners. If you can't use big-boy words, we'll assume you won't be able to understand even the simplest of instructions... and you'll find very little help on this forum.

Thanks for the help guys.sorry I was in a rush earlier,I am fully capable of spelling and understanding just fine. No need to be rude.

Friend of mine had the new h23a vtec harness and my f22a1 hardness modified to fit. So I going to have to check with him on the dizzy,I think he was telling me I can use the same dizzy that came with the motor.

The rhd comment I said because the fuel rail hoses are opposite ends on my new and old motor not to the mounts.

Thanks Bacon, that was the kit I was thinking of ordering but was not 100% sure.and the guy I order from doesn't do returns once you order parts so I wanted to be sure.
I knew the tranny/ firewall mounts were the same but I lined up the engine mount up and it was off on the bolt pattern.so I figured I might as well replace all three at once.no need to have one new mount and two old ones.

Multi-quote is your friend. As for that harness, good luck with that and hope like hell it works. Honestly, you are better off going to a junkyard and finding an EX harness from a CB7 and using it.

Just convert the motor to OBD1 and drop it in.

The mount bracket you want is the timing side bracket found on the '92-'96 Prelude with either the H23A1 or H22A1. The F22AX is not a perfect fit.

Also, Bacon has actually done the swap but I will elaborate on why he suggests an EX harness. If you have an F22A1 now then you don't have IABs. Unless you plan on using a Skunk2 or Euro R manifold then you're going to use the IABs on the H23A. The engine harness from a '91 EX wagon/SE would be plug and play for you if you have a '90-'91 and the '92-'93 EX/SE would be the one to find if your car is a '92-'93. That will keep the distributor plugs as straight-forward as possible.

Or, if you'd prefer, you can just modify your existing harness for IABs and de-loom your O2 sensor wiring to mount it further downstream where the H-series header will want it.

Also, we're all in a hurry. We all have jobs or other requirements that consume our time. We take from that time to help people out on the forum and want the information here to be a valid resource. It's much nicer when that resource is not filled with "wut" and "u". Deev isn't being rude, he's running the site as he sees fit for what his money pays for. You're welcome for the free advice that comes at the cost of merely being asked to speak like an adult.

Edit* Don't order a distributor adapter. Just get the proper distributor for your application. If you have a '92-'93, get a USDM H-series OBD1 distributor. If you have a '90-'91 then get the JDM version.
