I have a 92 EX that will crank but won't start. I live in Harlingen, Texas. So it is always hot. At first my car on a cold start it would take at least 10 minutes for my car to turn on. These past few months it's been taking longer than 20 minutes to start my car. last week my fuel pump wentout due to excessive starting. I went to orielly's and bought a new import Direct oe replacement fuel pump and now I don't have spark.I went ahead and also bought a distributor, rotor, and an external coil all from import direct. The sparkplugs, wires, and cap are at least 3 months old. I also have two main relys and two ecu's a pt6-a51 and a pt3-a03. I have test lighted the coil it has fire coming in but none going out. if anyone has information on helping me out it would be greatly appreciated thank you

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

It sounds like you may have gotten a defective coil.
You're 100% certain it's spark, and not fuel, correct? Just to make sure... as I've seen many people assume it was a spark or fuel issue, when it was actually the other.
If you have a "u pull it" junkyard near you, you could do what I do... go snag a few igniters, coils, main relays, and whatever other useful parts you can find. Many yards will let you take those things for free, or for very little money. It's a little more work swapping parts in and out, but it saves money over buying brand new parts just to troubleshoot.

I know its not fuel the car was running when it shut off. I would turn the key on And didn't hear the pump. So changed the main relay and nothing. I bought the pump and installed it. So now I hear it on and it gas pressure to the rail. I've also changed out the injector module and bought some starting fluid and it only cranks over.I had already bought the new distributor months ago and took it back for a warrenty return thinking maybe the ignitor was bad and bought the coil also while I was at it. And still nothing.

I would exchange that coil. It sounds like that may be the issue, if a test fire wasn't producing results.
Also, how are your battery connections and grounds? I had an issue years ago where my battery connections were corroded. I replaced the battery and a bunch of other parts, and the car would still not start (cranked only.) I cleaned the battery connections, and it started just fine!

None that I can think of, though my own car has been parked for a few years now... so I could be forgetting something.
Don't discount the possibility that the new components you installed could be faulty. It happens quite often, especially with the cheaper aftermarket parts. I've seen MANY people on here refuse to admit that their new part was bad, and they ended up wasting even more money unnecessarily replacing everything else they could think of instead!

A buddy of mine recently had an issue where he couldnt get his car started either. After replacing the fuel pump and testing a different ecu like you did, it turned out to be the electrical part of where the key is inserted in was what that went bad. He ordered a new one off of rockauto and has been fine ever since.

Well I check for a ground issue with a test light but found out that car has plenty of ground. I try to start it again with starting fluid but no success I even changed out to a different ECU, and still nothing. I thought about the ignition but when I first bought the car it would not start at all, so I bought a new ignition harness. So I know it can't be an ignition problem either

There's a 10mm bolt under the thermostat housing.. remove that, sand the area and put bolt back in.
That's the ground.. u can try that takes a few mins. If that ground int makin contact there will b no spark.
