ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Which intake for k20/f22a

I know there is some related topic, but I just wanted to get some specific answers. I would like to know which intake to choose for my f22a7 with k20 intake manifold.

From what I've found k20 guys use CAI and where I live people with f22/h22 like these whale penis intakes.

Other than that the engine is stock, with balance shafts removed, some cheap ass header and 2.5" exhaust with something like 160-170hp to the crank.

Can anyone suggest which would be better and why? Also, what diameter CAI would be good for f22? I understand that the difference would be very minimal but I'm trying to get more info about what can I expect.

Because of where that intake manifold places the throttle body, there's likely not going to be one single cold air intake that's going to work in the body of a CB. You may need to combine a couple of them to get the bends right. If it were me I'd look into the intake from a '94-'01 Integra GS-R (or whatever the model with the B18C with IABs is in your country) first. The throttle body location is similar to where yours is and routes around the bay the same way. It's a starting point anyway.

I wouldn't worry too much about the diameter at this point.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

I think the easiest way is to make custom CAI from aluminum and silicon elbows. I'm unsure about diameter because for k20 its quite normal to use 3-3.5" but I think its way too big for me. So what would be good 2.5"? 2.75"?

Honestly, the gains that a CAI provide over any other type of intake are so small, it's really not worth the hassle. Especially since you'll be dealing with a custom setup like the K20 manifold. I'd just go with the whale penis, or even a generic SRI with a good filter.
I have an AEM CAI in my car, not properly fitted because it's a Prelude intake on an H22 in a CB7... and I regret it. It was a hassle to install, and it's a pain to remove any time I have work to do in the engine bay.
